When you think about Thanksgiving, what are the first things that come to mind? If you’re anything like me, your thoughts might include turkey, football games on TV, and family. But one thing I always think of is gratitude. Thanksgiving is a time for giving thanks for all the blessings in our lives – people we love, food on our tables, good health…the list goes on. It’s also a time to remember that not everyone has these same blessings or opportunities in life. So it’s important that we take this Thanksgiving to be thankful for all God has given us!

This post will explore 10 Bible verses about thankfulness – some old favorites and some new ones too! Let’s get started!

Wow! I love this verse. God’s love doesn’t just endure but it lasts.

Not that we need a reason to love God and give thanks to Him but there’s this simple reminder that God is good in all things and His love is unconditional this Thanksgiving. No other place can love be unconditional but in relationship with God and for that we can be super thankful. This verse reminds us that even in our darkest times we can be thankful because it shows that God’s love still stands and He hasn’t turned His back on you.

“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” Colossians 4:2

We can be in a deep relationship with God, be thankful and remain watchful over everything we say and do that can change that relationship with God.
